ICA Dinner at NamesCon 2017

Dear Members and Friends of the ICA,

The ICA would like to invite you to our third dinner hosted at NamesCon! What started as a small intimate affair has grown in popularity each year. For 2017, our venue is the stylish Foundation Room at the legendary House of Blues at Mandalay Place!

Join us for excellent food, drinks and conversation with friends and colleagues in the domain industry. The meal is reception style with a wide variety of signature dishes to choose from, a limited open bar and a number of large and small tables where you can enjoy your food and drinks!

Feel free to invite friends or colleagues. Just let us know their email addresses so we can add them to the invitee list. The event is sponsored only in part so we'll need to contribute to the price of the dinner. The cost is $75 per person for ICA members and $100 for non-members. And because we’d love to encourage more people to become involved in the ICA, if you join the ICA now, the dinner's on us!

Mandalay Place can be easily reached from the Tropicana by taking the Excalibur to Mandalay Bay tram. It runs frequently and is free (and fun). Station is across street (west) of Tropicana (station is attached to bridge between Tropicana and Excalibur) and tram runs to Mandalay Bay station. From there it is short walk to House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay.

Door to door using tram should be 8-10 minutes with about half of that walking. Tram is NOT to be confused with Monorail that runs from MGM north of the Tropicana. Groups will be forming in the Tropicana lobby if you prefer to let others lead the way.

Or if you prefer to stretch your legs, the House of Blues is only a 15 minute walk from the Tropicana. Your smart phone will show you the way.

Can I bring my spouse / partner / friend to the dinner?

Yes, all are welcome. Just order enough tickets or send us their email.

What do you mean by a "limited open bar"?

We have a set budget for the open bar (wine, beer and soft drinks) so we don't go over budget. From past years' experience, we expect the budget will allow the bar to be open for most, if not all of the evening. In the unlikely event that our group is more thirsty than usual and our limit is reached, the bar will convert to a cash bar. Premium drinks that are not available through the open bar will also be available at any time as a cash bar.

Are there vegetarian option?

Yes, there are a wide variety of vegetarian dishes. For our vegan guests, please get in touch with Kamila (kamila@internetcommerce.org) after you’ve purchased your ticket so we can make sure we’ll have something available for you as well.
